Montie VanNostrand represents injured and disabled clients of all ages in the effort to obtain monthly Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits and the medical care that accompanies these awards. She is a former chairperson of the West Virginia State Bar Committee on Social Security. She is also the author of a chapter on Social Security Disability practice in the West Virginia State Bar Handbook for West Virginia Lawyers.
Ms. VanNostrand represented the appellant in Coffman v. Bowen, 829 F. 2d 514 (4th Cir. 1987). She has appeared before more than a hundred different administrative law judges and is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and a former member of the board of directors representing the five states of the Fourth Circuit and the District of Columbia.
Joyce Helmick Morton has many years of in-depth experience in both civil, criminal and personal injury litigation. Her main area of focus involves representing those who have suffered from the negligence of others in motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, defective product manufacturing and more.
Ms. Morton received the great honor of induction among those distinguished few as a 2005 Fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation, those lawyers whose professional, public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and honorable service to the legal profession.
